{"id":1063,"date":"2015-12-16T08:40:19","date_gmt":"2015-12-15T22:40:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.griffithasiainsights.com.au\/?p=1063"},"modified":"2016-05-03T16:08:51","modified_gmt":"2016-05-03T06:08:51","slug":"asian-century-futures-initiative-reserach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/testblogs.griffith.edu.au\/asiainsights\/asian-century-futures-initiative-reserach\/","title":{"rendered":"Asian Century Futures Initiative &#8211; Research Collaboration Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of Griffith\u2019s Asian Century Futures Initiative, Griffith University and Peking University have established a Collaborative Research Scheme which aims to assist with reciprocal research exchanges and joint funding proposals for the purpose of developing collaborative research, that align with the following areas of focus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Water Science<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable Tourism<\/li>\n<li>Drug discovery and infectious diseases<\/li>\n<li>Health and chronic diseases<\/li>\n<li>Asian politics, security and development<\/li>\n<li>Physical sciences<\/li>\n<li>Climate change adaptation<\/li>\n<li>Environmental sciences<\/li>\n<li>International Law (Criminology and crime prevention)<\/li>\n<li>Nursing<\/li>\n<li>Music, the Arts and the Asia Pacific<\/li>\n<li>Education<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility and Available Funding<\/strong><br \/>\nEach application must include at least one researcher from each institution. Grants will be awarded to support proposals that:<br \/>\nCreate opportunities for development of high quality journal publications;<br \/>\nLead to the development of joint funding proposals for either Australian (ARC, NHMRC) or other international funding sources<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research Exchanges<\/strong><br \/>\n(up to AUD8,000). Short research exchanges of up to 4 weeks between institutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Support<\/strong><br \/>\n(up to AUD10,000).
