Moderated by Dr Caroline Riot, Director of Games Partnerships and Engagement at Griffith University, the event brought together a diverse panel of experts to discuss how Australia can deepen its connections with the Asia-Pacific region, especially Oceania, through sport, strategic partnerships, and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The speakers, including Queensland Trade Commissioner for the Pacific Leata Alaimoana, Brisbane 2032 Chief Impact Officer Kerry Petersen, and athletes Adrine Monagi and Georgia-Leigh Vele, shared their perspectives on the importance of regional collaboration. They highlighted the role of athletes, universities, and government in fostering lasting partnerships and creating meaningful legacies beyond the 2032 Games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Themes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Attendees were treated to thought-provoking insights on how Brisbane\u2019s commitment to regional engagement can drive opportunities for mutual growth and prosperity, setting the stage for stronger ties across Oceania.
