{"id":3466,"date":"2017-07-03T13:12:42","date_gmt":"2017-07-03T03:12:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/testblogs.griffith.edu.au\/asiainsights\/?p=3466"},"modified":"2023-08-06T20:33:49","modified_gmt":"2023-08-06T10:33:49","slug":"ian-hall-wins-prestigious-journal-prize","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/testblogs.griffith.edu.au\/asiainsights\/ian-hall-wins-prestigious-journal-prize\/","title":{"rendered":"Ian Hall wins prestigious journal prize"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Ian Hall, acting Director of the Griffith Asia Institute and Professor in the School of Government and International Relations at Griffith University, has been awarded the prestigious Peter Lyon Memorial Prize of The Round Table journal for his article, \u2018Multialignment and Indian Foreign Policy under Narendra Modi\u2019, published in the journal in June 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1910, The Round Table is Britain&#8217;s oldest international affairs journal, and provides analysis and commentary on all aspects of international affairs. The journal is the major source for coverage of the policy issues concerning the contemporary Commonwealth and its role in international affairs, with occasional articles on themes of historical interest.<\/p>\n<p>The Peter Lyon Memorial Prize is an annual prize for the best policy-oriented article on a theme of significance for the contemporary Commonwealth published in The Round Table journal. The prize is awarded by the editor, following advice both from the publishers and from the journal&#8217;s editorial and international advisory boards. It was instituted in memory of Peter Lyon (1934-2010), Reader in International Relations at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London, and Editor of The Round Table from 1983 to 2004.
