As passions run high, what is needed is calm-headed leadership that is courageous yet cautiou\u00ads, resolute but flexible. Retribution should be based on strategic astuteness to instil immed\u00adiate, medium and long-term impact.<\/p>\n

For starters, the CRPF needs an urgent makeover in advanced tactical and counter-insurgency training, resources and equipment, to iron out its vulnerability.<\/p>\n
