The theme, as chosen by their host and current chair Tuvaluan Prime Minister Enele Sopoaga, was \u2018Securing our Future in the Pacific\u2019. The Boe Declaration came from extensive consultations throughout the region. Climate change was elevated to the status of the \u2018single greatest threat\u2019 facing the region at the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lowyinstitute.org\/the-interpreter\/new-faces-and-absent-friends-pacific-diplomacy\" target=\"_blank\">Forum Foreign Ministers<\/a>&nbsp;Meeting.
