The first is moving towards the US and away from China, embracing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspistrategist.org.au\/beyond-balancing-alternative-us-grand-strategies-for-dealing-with-china-and-russia\/\">balancing against China<\/a>&nbsp;in deed, if not in word. The Australia Strategic Policy Institute\u2019s Peter Jennings&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspistrategist.org.au\/americas-new-asia-strategy-opens-doors-for-australia\/\">passionately advocates<\/a>&nbsp;this realist position that sees the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aspistrategist.org.au\/a-new-cold-war-will-force-changes-in-australian-behaviour\/\">world as it is<\/a>, not as it
