Instead, scientific innovations such as Covid-19 vaccines have been a part of a country\u2019s soft power, not only in the form of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4072536\/\">&nbsp;vaccine diplomacy<\/a>&nbsp;as a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.japantimes.co.jp\/news\/2020\/12\/10\/asia-pacific\/china-vaccine-diplomacy\/\">&nbsp;charm offensive<\/a>, but also as<a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/why-vaccine-nationalism-could-doom-plan-for-global-access-to-a-covid-19-vaccine-145056\">&nbsp;vaccine nationalism<\/a>, which has now been perceived as a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/indias-vaccine-nationalism-is-a-global-risk\/2021\/01\/04\/17d4c946-4e50-11eb-a1f5-fdaf28cfca90_story.html\">&nbsp;global threat<\/a>. Thus, small countries like Nepal need to pursue proactive diplomacy to ensure that their vaccines needs are fulfilled on time. Covid-19 has been taken as<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sg\/en\/content\/sg\/press-encounter\/2020-03-31\/transcript-of-un-secretary-general%25E2%2580%2599s-virtual-press-encounter-launch-the-report-the-socio-economic-impacts-of-covid-19\">&nbsp;the most challenging crisis<\/a>&nbsp;since World War II, and it has also been perceived as the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2020\/05\/03\/the-post-coronavirus-world-order-230042\">&nbsp;death of the liberal world order<\/a>.
