Queensland Minister for Child Safety, Youth and Women Di Farmer opened the day. New Director General of Youth Justice Bob Gee provided closing remarks and GCI researcher Prof Ross Homel was a keynote speaker.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The event incorporated rotational discussion groups which covered questions including :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From your perspective as a youth justice practitioner, or key stakeholder, what strategies and approaches work to successfully implement state-wide initiatives?<\/li>\n<li>What are the major obstacles for the development and implementation of this system of community-controlled, evidence-based youth crime prevention in Queensland?<\/li>\n<li>How and what can we learn from the experiences of other jurisdictions and countries to inform the ongoing development of policy, programs and practice?<\/li>\n<li>What are the factors that influence youth justice policy in Queensland and how could these be addressed?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group
