On the 12 May Griffith Vice Chancellor Carolyn Evans and Queensland Corrective Services Commissioner Peter Martin jointly launched the receipt into SAL of QCS administrative data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vice Chancellor acknowledged the importance of the GU-QCS relationship, while the Commissioner spoke about the need for an evidence base to inform better criminal justice policies and practices to help address the rise in incarceration, especially of Indigenous people. He expressed his strong support for collaborative partnerships with researchers, and for the use of agency data to help improve the public value of criminal justice agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was also attended by the AEL PVC and Deans, QCS staff, GCI researchers, and visiting senior staff from the Paul Ramsay Foundation and included tours of the SAL facility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
