GRAPA Journal Finder: Supporting Griffith researchers with open access publishing
The Library has launched a new tool to support Griffith researchers in navigating open access publishing.
Griffith’s Read and Publish Agreements (GRAPA) are negotiated by Council of Australasian University Librarians (CAUL), and combine subscription and article processing charges (APCs) into a single library-managed payment for some publishers. The GRAPA Journal Finder is designed to help researchers navigate these agreements more easily.
GRAPA-Journal Finder
Developed using the latest CAUL data, GRAPA Journal Finder helps researchers identify journals included in Griffith’s Read and Publish agreements—allowing them to publish open access without incurring article processing charges.
Key Features:
- Scimago quartile rankings for assessing journal impact
- Scimago subject categories to narrow results by discipline
- Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) journal indicators for business researchers
- Field of Research (FoR) codes for the ABDC journals, for targeted filtering based on Australian research classifications.
GRAPA Journal Finder is designed to support strategic publishing decisions across all disciplines—STEM, humanities, health and business—and aligns with our broader goals of promoting open research and increasing Griffith’s research visibility.
For the full list of agreements, refer to the Read and publish agreements webpage.
Note: Annual publishing caps apply to some agreements. For all the details, including cap status, eligibility and instructions, see the CAUL Read and Publish webpage.
