Building together: The Library’s student Gen AI website project

The Library is excited to be leading the development of a new student-facing Generative AI (Gen AI) website for Griffith University.

The website will feature resources designed to build confidence and capability across study, life and career.

Co-created with students, the site will reflect real needs and enable students to use AI effectively, ethically and with purpose.

Building the foundation

Our first goal is a foundational website, laying the groundwork for the development of a student-led co-design that will result in a relevant, engaging and meaningful resource for students.

Who’s Involved

As the Library is leading the project, this will be a collaborative undertaking. Our contributors will come from across the University including student partnerships, academic staff and governance groups.

What We’re Doing

  • Constructing the Site: Using insights from student feedback and existing co-design data we’re developing the site’s initial structure and content.
  • Preparing for Co-Design: We’re also identifying areas where students will shape the next phase. Through workshops and internships students will develop user experience (tone, layout, language) and interactive tools to reflect their needs and values.

What’s Next?

The foundational website will go live in late October/early November 2025.

After that, we’ll move to Phase Two—where students will take the lead in co-designing and refining the site.

This project is part of the Library’s commitment to building stronger connections and supporting student excellence.
