Unlock subscription-based research in GRO
Publishing in a subscription-based journal doesn’t mean your research has to stay locked behind a paywall! When you deposit a paywalled article to Griffith Research Online (GRO), the Library gets to work seeking a publisher-approved version. Many major publishers allow institutional repositories like GRO to make an Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) freely available to global audiences, known as ‘green open access’.
Each year, the Library sources and uploads hundreds of AAMs of subscription-based articles to GRO. This enables anyone, anywhere, to read and download a full-text version of those articles, regardless of whether they have access to a publisher subscription. Check out a selection of the research the Library has recently ‘unpaywalled’ with AAMs in GRO:
- Autism and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Content in Highly Viewed TikTok Videos
- Broadband Spectroscopy of Quantum Noise
- Workforce Recommendations to Address Distress and Burnout in Australian Children’s Cancer Nurses
