Wellbeing check-in: Study and exams
As the pressure of exams increases during the year, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by expectations and deadlines. Amongst this whirlwind, it’s vital to prioritise your wellbeing. Here are a few things to try:
- Acknowledge stress: Feeling overwhelmed is normal. Recognise your emotions and remember, seeking support is a sign of strength.
- Prioritise self-care: Make sure to prioritise self-care alongside your study sessions. Get sufficient rest, nourish yourself with good food, and don’t forget to take regular short breaks to recharge.
- Break it down: Break down study material into smaller, more manageable chunks. Tackle one concept at a time and incorporate regular breaks.
- Practice mindfulness: Find balance during times of study pressure by incorporating mindfulness practices. Dedicate moments to deep breathing exercises or meditation to alleviate stress levels.
- Reach out for support: You’re not alone. Lean on friends, family, or classmates for support. Utilise support services if needed.
- Celebrate progress: Take time to acknowledge your achievements, no matter how small. Each step forward is worth celebrating.
