Tip of the week: Being respectful helps everyone
With stress levels running high, it’s easy for patience to run low. A simple question from a group member can feel like a personal attack and a crowded library can suddenly become your worst enemy. But here’s a little reminder for all of us to stay respectful of others.
A little courtesy goes a long way.
Everyone around you is feeling the pressure too. A simple ‘please’ or ‘thank you’ can make a world of difference. Practice empathy and patience with everyone, especially those who look overwhelmed.
- Breathe: Before you snap back at someone, take a second. A deep breath can work wonders.
- Share the space: When using study spaces, keep your belongings tidy and be mindful of those around you.
- Be a helping hand: See someone looking lost? Offer to point them to the right room. Have a spare pen? Small acts of kindness go a long way.
Let’s work together to successfully wrap up the trimester, treating each other with mutual respect. After all, the person you help today might be the one you need help from tomorrow.
