That means it\u2019s up to all members of the Griffith University community to ensure these values are part of our everyday environment. As well as the Library being a designated LGBTIQ+ safe space, there are a range of programs and resources the university offers to promote a community free from harassment, bullying, discrimination and other behaviours that could negatively impact others:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.griffith.edu.au\/equity\/lgbti-inclusion\/pride-working-party\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Griffith Pride Committee<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 promotes equality and inclusion for LGBTIQ+ students and staff, provides advice to the Griffith Equity Committee, contributes to the Griffith Pride Action\u00a0Plan and provides leadership to the Griffith Ally Network.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.griffith.edu.au\/equity\/lgbti-inclusion\/being-an-effective-ally\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Griffith\u00a0Ally Network<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 led by the Griffith Pride Committee, the Ally Network is made up of\u00a0Griffith staff and students who support and affirm the experiences of people who identify as LGBTIQ+ at Griffith.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/matebystander.edu.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Griffith\u00a0Mate Bystander\u00a0Program<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 MATE is an education and intervention program teaching us all to be leaders in the prevention of violence and problematic behaviour. Instead of focusing on the perpetrator or victim of violence, the bystander approach focuses on what we can all do to prevent violence in our homes, workplaces, schools and communities.\u00a0To learn more on being an effective bystander,\u00a0take a look\u00a0at Griffith\u2019s MATE Bystander program.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.griffith.edu.au\/equity\/lgbti-inclusion\/resources-and-support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pride in Diversity (PiD)<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 Griffith is a member of\u00a0PiD, a non-profit organisation which works to assist Australian employers with LGBTIQ+ inclusion.
