This year, 22 April, we mark 50 years since this first event. The theme for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.earthday.org\/earth-day-2020\/\">Earth Day 2020<\/a> is climate action. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.earthday.org\/about-us\/\">Earth Day Network<\/a> has identified climate change \u2013 the challenges and the vast opportunities \u2013 as the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.<\/p>\n<p>Local and global research, along with our individual voices, is integral to driving climate action and environmental change.
