Library Connect<\/em><\/a> is the central news and services communication channel for academics, students and researchers.\u00a0 Library Connect<\/em> contains information on service and support available.\u00a0 You can also subscribe to Library Connect<\/em><\/a> for latest news posts.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

Online teaching support<\/h2>\n

The Library has teaching support available including course design<\/strong>, curriculum advice<\/strong>, online teaching tools<\/strong> advice and copyright<\/strong> advice for all academic staff.\u00a0 Support and advice by online appointment.\u00a0 Book here Get help from the Library<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Researcher Services<\/h2>\n

The Library has Research and Publication<\/a> support including proposal development, working with data, working with literature, publishing, open scholarship, research dissemination and researcher profiles.<\/p>\n

The Library provides and supports online delivery for course resources.\u00a0 For T1, T2 and T3 the Library can help identify and source digital resources and alternatives to print items.\u00a0\u00a0 Use the Get help from the Library<\/a> webform to get support or explore options. You can also Suggest a purchase.\u00a0 <\/a><\/p>\n

Reading lists<\/h2>\n

Reading lists can be updated 24\/7 with direct links to digital course resources including ebooks, journal articles, book chapters, videos, webpages and databases.\u00a0 How to guides and key dates are available at the Reading lists<\/a> webpage and you can get support from the Getting help from the Library<\/a> webform or email readings@griffith.edu.au<\/a><\/p>\n

Inter-library loans<\/h2>\n

The Library is still providing inter-library loans digitally including journals and book chapters depending on availability and budget.\u00a0 Due to library closures around the world, there is a reduction in physically available items.\u00a0 Requests can be made via the ILL Loan requests<\/a> form.\u00a0 More information is available here<\/a>. Bonus+ has temporarily closed throughout Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n

\u2018Free\u2019 vendor resources \u2013 approach with caution<\/h2>\n

Vendors and publishers have been making numerous announcements about \u201cfree\u201d time-limited access to resources. While these offers may appear to provide some short-term benefits, many will have ongoing financial impacts if access is required beyond the specified free period. The impacts of using \u201cfree\u201d time-limited resources need to be carefully considered by academics before deciding to make use of these resources in learning and teaching. Access to these resources could discontinue mid-trimester if acquisition processes are not followed.<\/p>\n

Before using resources that are being offered for \u201cfree\u201d on a time-limited basis, they should be assessed by the Library.
