They are a friendly bunch of people with expertise in university assessment expectations and academic culture.<\/p>\n<p>A day in the life of a Learning Adviser includes\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Talking to students by phone, email or online to answer their queries<\/li>\n<li>Providing useful resources and advice to students<\/li>\n<li>Teaching academic skills in different courses at the request of academics<\/li>\n<li>Referring students to other experts who may be able to help them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Get in touch with a Learning Adviser as soon as you feel you are frustrated with an assignment or studies, or if you feel you are not progressing the way you hoped.<\/p>\n<p>A Learning Adviser can help you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand your assignment task by breaking it down into smaller parts<\/li>\n<li>Create an essay or report plan, or concept map, to follow as you write<\/li>\n<li>Strategise ways to improve your exam revision, note-taking, developing your argument, critical thinking, paragraphing and oral presentations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How do I contact a Learning Adviser?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Request a consultation with a Learning Adviser via the <a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.secure.griffith.edu.au\/library\/forms\/help\">online form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to send the Learning Adviser a copy of your assignment question, marking criteria and any writing you have completed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-14074 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/testblogs.griffith.edu.au\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/36\/2020\/06\/The-Library-here-to-help-logo-_-Transparent-2-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"White words inside a red circle.
