What is\u00a0ResBazQld?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Organised\u00a0by a team of volunteers from universities\u00a0in\u00a0south-east Queensland\u2014including Griffith University\u2014the\u00a0Research Bazaar (ResBaz) is a skill- and community-building festival.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This\u00a0must-see\u00a0festival\u00a0is a highly participatory event where researchers from many different disciplines can learn, share knowledge and skills, meet people\u00a0and\u2014most importantly\u2014have\u00a0fun!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event will be the\u00a0fifth annual\u00a0ResBaz\u00a0held in Queensland.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Where\u00a0and when\u00a0will events\u00a0be held?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From 24\u00a0–\u00a026 November 2021, the University of Queensland\u00a0will host\u00a0three days of in-person,\u00a0COVID-safe talks, workshops, panels, social\u00a0activities\u00a0and skill-up opportunities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On\u00a026 November\u00a02021, Griffith University will host a\u00a0one-day satellite event at\u00a0our\u00a0Gold Coast campus.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why should I attend\u00a0ResBazQld?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ResBazQld\u00a0is a great space where\u00a0HDR students and early career researchers come together to learn and discuss the latest in digital research tools and e-research.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All kinds of workshops,\u00a0from web scraping to machine learning and software containers,\u00a0will be offered.\u00a0The keynote address will be delivered by\u00a0Professor Hugh\u00a0Possingham,\u00a0Queensland Chief\u00a0Scientist\u00a0and renowned ecologist.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How can I register?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Registrations\u00a0for\u00a0ResBazQld\u00a0will open in October.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However,\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>schedule for\u00a0ResBazQld\u00a0is up now<\/span><\/a>!\u00a0Watch that space, as the schedule\u00a0will\u00a0continue to\u00a0grow and change before November.\u00a0Use\u00a0<\/span>this form<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to suggest a talk or workshop, volunteer to help out or teach.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
