The style has\u00a0experienced many changes\u00a0since then; most recently,\u00a0in October 2019,\u00a0the\u00a0APA style\u00a0manual was updated from\u00a0the\u00a06th\u00a0edition\u00a0to the 7th edition.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0APA 6\u00a0has served us well,\u00a0the time has come to\u00a0say goodbye.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The APA recommended that writers and editors\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/apastyle.apa.org\/6th-edition-resources\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8216;make the switch&#8217;<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u202fand adopt the\u00a07th\u00a0edition from January 2020 or thereafter.\u202fIn accordance with\u00a0this\u00a0advice, we\u2019re now\u00a0archiving the\u00a0APA 6 referencing guide.\u202fYou\u2019ll still be able\u202fto access the 6th edition via a legacy link on the APA\u00a07 guide until the end of February 2023,\u00a0when it will be permanently retired.\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Need help with referencing?
