In Australia, almost <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.campbelltown.sa.gov.au\/__data\/assets\/pdf_file\/0025\/234385\/Zero-Waste-SA-Know-Nappy.pdf\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">800 million disposable nappies<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> end up in landfill each year.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">In 2019, Tasmanian-based company Eenee partnered with the Bega Valley Shire Council in a trial that provided 50 local families with eco-friendly nappies. The nappies were entirely compostable and featured a reusable fabric band to secure them.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The trial was a success.
