On Tuesday 6 June, <\/span>Queensland Day<\/span><\/a>, we come together to celebrate the natural wonders, vibrant culture and our long history that make this state truly unique.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Queensland Day occurs on the anniversary of our official separation from New South Wales as an independent colony in 1859. Our state day celebrates Queensland\u2019s history. A history that begins long before European settlement, with thousands of years of Indigenous presence and culture.\u00a0 On Queensland Day, we acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional custodians of the land and their deep connection to country.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Queensland is a melting pot of cultures that contribute to our unique identity.\u00a0 Queensland Day serves as a reminder to celebrate this cultural diversity and foster an inclusive and harmonious society.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, this Tuesday 6 June let\u2019s come together to appreciate our shared journey, embrace our diverse culture and look forward to a bright and prosperous future.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
