With the global population growing from 2.5 billion in 1950 to 8 billion in 2023 there has been a corresponding need to understand sustainable population development. Observed on 11 July each year, <\/span>World Population Day<\/span><\/a> seeks to bring awareness to the implications of this unprecedented population growth on society, our health, the environment and the economy. The day also seeks to emphasise the central tenet of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to which Griffith is aligned: \u2018<\/span>leave no one behind<\/span><\/a>\u2019.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
