Did you know that as a Griffith student you get access to a <\/span>Microsoft Office Suite licence<\/span><\/a>? In this workshop you\u2019ll get to know some of the essential tools you\u2019ll be using as a student.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Understanding Assignments<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 Thursday 27 July 11am \u2013 12pm<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How do you know exactly what an assignment is asking you to do? This workshop will show you how to unpack an assignment question<\/span>s<\/span>, use marking criteria as a guideline and understand the different formats you might be expected to write.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Understanding Referencing<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 Wednesday 2 August 7pm \u2013 8pm<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Referencing is an element of academic writing that causes a lot of anxiety in new students. This workshop will help demystify referencing which is a skill you will need throughout your studies.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Structuring Assignments<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 Thursday 3 August 11am \u2013 12pm<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How do you structure writing for your assignment? This session will provide tips on how to structure your assignment, so it meets academic requirements. Specifically, it will focus on introductions, body paragraphs and conclusions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Using References in your Writing<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 Thursday 10 August 11am \u2013 12pm<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Learn how to use references in your academic writing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Preparing for Exams<\/span><\/b><\/a> \u2013 Thursday 28 September 11am \u2013 12pm<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I know exams feel very far away but it\u2019s always best to be prepared. This workshop will help you find strategies for planning your time, and give you tips on the most effective ways to get yourself ready to fly through your exams.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
