Tuesday 23 January, 10.30am \u2013 12 noon:<\/span><\/b> Improving the tone and style of your academic writing<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gather strategies to develop your writing skills so that it has an appropriate tone and style, providing clarity for the reader.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday 31 January, 12 noon \u2013 1 pm: <\/span><\/b>EndNote Q&A<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Learn the basics and start using EndNote using the Library\u2019s EndNote Basics Tutorial, then register to join the Endnote Q&A live virtual session. Bring your questions and get answers and tips from specialist librarians and other EndNote users.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday 1 February, 10 am \u2013 10.45 am: <\/span><\/b>Managing your research data<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An introduction to data management practices, data related resources, and services available to Griffith researchers throughout the various stages of the research life cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday 7 February, 12 noon \u2013 1 pm: <\/span><\/b>Research metrics express: Has my research been cited in policy?<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Finding citations to your publications in policy documents can be a useful way to demonstrate how research has influenced policy or the course of action in a particular field. The session is most suitable for researchers planning to apply for grants in the coming year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday 8 February, 10 am \u2013 12 noon: <\/span><\/b>External research datasets<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

An exploratory session for researchers on major virtual data labs and portals. Discover large interdisciplinary datasets to support research.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday 14 February, 10 am \u2013 12 noon: <\/span><\/b>Navigating the publishing maze for AEL and Business early career researchers<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This session will cover publishing advice given by a senior academic. On completion, participants should be able to understand the academic publishing process in AEL and Business.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday 15 February, 10.30 am \u2013 12 noon: <\/span><\/b>Conveying the argument in academic writing<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Develop a clear argument in your writing as well as identifying arguments in the writing of others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday 21 February, 10 am \u2013 12 noon: <\/span><\/b>Navigating the publishing maze for Science and Health early career researchers<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Learn about tips and tools that can simplify your systematic and systematic-style reviews from start to finish. Find out about guidelines and protocols, research questions and search strategies, and screening and documenting your searches.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wednesday 28 February, 10 am \u2013 10.45 am: <\/span><\/b>Reproducible research: Building business continuity<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Researchers genuinely want to make their research more reproducible but sometimes don’t know where to start or are not aware that best practice guidelines might exist. This workshop will help you identify ways to make your research reproducible, safeguard against fraud and secure your data.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday 29 February, 10.30 am \u2013 11.30 am: <\/span><\/b>Covidence vendor training<\/span><\/b><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Have you got questions about how to use Covidence for your systematic-style review? This session includes a live demo providing an overview of the systematic review workflow and showcases the most useful features of the software<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
