NAIDOC Week<\/a> is celebrated from 7 to 14 July this year. NAIDOC Week recognises and celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme is \u2018Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud\u2019<\/strong>. In celebration of NAIDOC Week, we invite you to stoke the fire of your curiosity and dig into captivating and inspiring First Nations stories!<\/p>\n

The Library has worked with Ren Perkins<\/a>, a proud Quandamooka man and lecturer in the School of Education and Professional Studies, to develop a curated reading list.\u00a0 The Library Resources- NAIDOC Week 2024<\/a> reading list features works by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors, offering a glimpse into rich cultures, histories, and perspectives.<\/p>\n

Dr Kerry Hall<\/a> researcher, lecturer, Enrolled Nurse and Interim Lead Learning and Teaching (Indigenous) is also holding the Embedding Indigenous Knowledges in Curriculum Symposium<\/a>. This inspiring event will provide insights into Indigenous culture, truth telling, reconciliation and how we can participate in a more equitable future for all Australians.
