Will you need to borrow library books this trimester and are you wondering how borrowing works? Read on to find out what you can borrow, how to borrow, and learn about our new <\/span>Griffith University Library<\/span><\/i> app!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What can I borrow?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most items in the Library collection are standard loans. Students and staff can borrow unlimited standard loan items and place up to 12 holds at a time. For students, standard loan items are a 60-day loan with two automatic renewals. For postgraduate students and staff, these items are a six-month loan with one automatic renewal. This means there\u2019s no rush to read and return your books\u2014unless an item is recalled. If another person requests the item, you will receive a notification that your loan due date has changed.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How do I borrow?<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To borrow books from the library you will need either your Griffith ID card to use the self-checkout machines, or your phone with the <\/span>Griffith University Library<\/span><\/i> app installed. You can use the app to <\/span>borrow library items using your phone camera as a barcode scanner.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How do I download and use the <\/span><\/b>Griffith University Library<\/span><\/i><\/b> app?\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Download the app from the <\/span>App Store or Google Play by searching for \u2018Griffith University Library\u2019.\u202fNot only can you borrow books using the app, but you can also view and renew items you have on loan\u202fand check the status of holds placed. Detailed <\/span>instructions<\/span><\/a> are available to help you <\/span>download and use the app.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
