{"id":18021,"date":"2025-03-20T07:00:12","date_gmt":"2025-03-19T21:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/testblogs.griffith.edu.au\/library\/?p=18021"},"modified":"2025-03-19T11:51:17","modified_gmt":"2025-03-19T01:51:17","slug":"academic-integrity-what-is-it-and-why-does-it-matter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/testblogs.griffith.edu.au\/library\/2025\/03\/20\/academic-integrity-what-is-it-and-why-does-it-matter\/","title":{"rendered":"Academic integrity \u2013 what is it and why does it matter!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At Griffith University\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.griffith.edu.au\/academic-integrity\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Academic integrity matters<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u202f We expect all our students to act with honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility and courage in their learning.\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As a new Griffith student, you are required to complete the\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lms.griffith.edu.au\/enroll\/BC8J6A\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Introduction to academic integrity module<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u202f\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The module will only take around 15 minutes to complete and will help you understand the principles around academic integrity and set you up for success at uni and in the workplace.\u202f\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To help you get started you may wish to complete the\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lms.griffith.edu.au\/enroll\/M9GHL3\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Academic integrity tutorial<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202fwhich helps you to understand more about academic integrity and why it is so important.\u202f In addition, the\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.griffith.edu.au\/library\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Library<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202fhas several resources available to support your commitment to academic integrity in your studies, including\u202f\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.griffith.edu.au\/library\/about\/student-orientation#workshops\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Library workshops<\/span><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.griffith.edu.au\/library\/study\/referencing\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">, Referencing guides<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202fand the use of\u202f<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/griffith.h5p.com\/content\/1292031535876431169\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools.\u202f<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you are still unsure, our Librarians and Learning Advisers are available for one-on-one assistance.
