When publishing your research as a subscription article, your accepted manuscript can be the key to making your articl<\/span>e<\/span> free <\/span>to access by government, industry, not-for-profit organisations and the wider public.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The <\/span>accepted manuscript<\/span><\/a> is your final, peer-reviewed version before the publisher adds the finishing touches for example, copyediting, formatting and branding. It has been accepted for publication and revised based on peer review feedback. When your paper reaches this stage<\/span>, <\/span>save a personal copy!<\/span> It may be tricky (or even impossible) to track it down and access it later.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Depending on the publisher, you may have the right to make your accepted manuscript freely available to others by depositing it into your institutional repository. All Griffith-affiliated researchers and HDR candidates can post their accepted manuscripts to Griffith’s repository, <\/span>Griffith Research Online (GRO)<\/span><\/a>. Once in GRO, your accepted manuscript is indexed by Google, Google Scholar, Un paywall and Trove to expand the reach of your research.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Not sure whether the publisher of your article allows you to share the accepted manuscript? No need to worry<\/span>\u2014<\/span> deposit it to GRO anyway. The Library reviews each manuscript to ensure compliance with publisher policies.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
