It\u2019s week 4 and if you\u2019re starting to feel the pressure of course work and assessments, you\u2019re not alone! The good news is there’s a range of support available to help you build your academic and study skills. Take a look at what\u2019s on offer:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Study Support Mentors<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Study Support Mentors are high-achieving students who can help you develop your writing, researching, referencing and study skills. They offer free drop-in sessions throughout the trimester via Teams, email and in-person sessions. Visit the <\/span>Griffith Mentors Study Support<\/span><\/a> webpage for session times and more information.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PASS<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Peer-Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) are weekly study sessions run by nationally-accredited student leaders who have previously completed the course. PASS helps you better understand course content, connect with other students and learn effective study methods. Selected first-year courses offer PASS\u2014check the <\/span>PASS webpage<\/span><\/a> to see the study sessions available and find out how to join.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Common Time<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Common Time<\/span><\/a> is a series of workshops that help you build the core skills needed to complete the assessments in your program.\u00a0 These workshops may cover topics such as study skills, assignment planning and writing, researching, referencing, and preparing for quizzes, exams and presentations. It\u2019s also a great way to meet other students and staff who can support you throughout your studies. If Common Time is available for your program, it will show in your timetable.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Library support<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Check out the <\/span>Study and assignment skills<\/span><\/a> webpages and <\/span>Library workshops<\/span><\/a> for help with academic writing, study skills, researching, referencing and digital skills. For further support, including individual consultations with a Library specialist,\u00a0<\/span>contact the library<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
